A Matter of Trust

Eventing is a risky business. Flying at breakneck speed around a course of solid obstacles, where a split-second wrong decision could send you, and half a ton of horse, somersaulting through the air and crashing into the ground...
...but it is more than bones that Emma Mathews risks breaking when she goes to work at eventing yard, Coach House Stables.
The Yard is in trouble and they are in constant danger of losing their best horses; a situation not helped by the wild and unpredictable behaviour of talented rider, Daniel Ryan, who has a chequered past, and a reputation for leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him.
Emma's better judgement tells her she should walk away, back to her ordinary life, back to her safe, respectable job, and back to the boyfriend she has left behind - but her heart is already torn. Merlin, an ex-racehorse with an equally chequered past, is running out of chances. his path seems inextricably linked with Dan's, and unless he starts winning, his owner will take hi away and his fate will be sealed.

Dan and Merlin need her help, and despite the warning bells cleaning in her mind, Emma feels compelled to try. But is she foolish to put her trust in Dn and risk losing everything she has?

Refreshing Equestrian Read
"If formulaic, tropey romance is your thing, this book probably isn't for you. But if you like messy, real-life stories, give it a go. The setting was perfect, the voice was natural, the horse detail great and while not a 'clean' novel, the intimate scenes were done with impressive taste. Please tell me there will be more from this author!"
